Heinz Portmann,
Chairman of the Board, founded the Company in 1991 as a Director and
President. Mr. Portmann's responsibilities include developing long-term
strategic direction and advanced energy storage technologies.
He has extensive experience in commercializing innovative technologies,
developing new markets and globalizing businesses and business processes. Mr.
Portmann is a member of the CSA standards committee for compressed natural gas
and the ISO standards committee for hydrogen storage. Mr. Portmann is fluent in
English, French and German.
Dr. Christian Rasche, the President and Chief Executive Officer
of Dynetek
Industries, joined Dynetek as Managing Director, European Operations in 2001 and
played a key role in establishing the operations in Europe. Dr. Rasche was appointed
to his current position in January 2007.
His credentials include: Chairman of the Working Group on composite cylinders for
DIN (German Institute for Standardization), positions on CEN (European Committee for
Standardization) and ISO committees for the standardization of cylinders. Mr. Rasche
holds a doctorate in composite materials and is a recognized expert in hydrogen
storage and other compressed gases.
Prior to joining Dynetek Mr. Rasche was General Manager Composite of Mannesmann
Cylinder Systems in Germany.
Michael Portmann, Vice President Business Development, joined Dynetek in 1996 as
General Manager. He was promoted to Vice President and General Manager in 2000. From
2000 until 2008 Mr. Portmann is responsible for the Corporation's day-to-day
operations including the production floor and key contract negotiations. Mr.
Portmann was instrumental in developing the company's Japanese relationship with
Mitsubishi and Kokan Drum. Mr. Portmann was promoted to his current title in May of
2008.
Manfred Bartram, Vice President Production and Director of Quality and Risk Management, joined Dynetek in 2006 as Corporate Quality Manager and was promoted to his current
position in May 2008. Mr. Bartram is responsible for the Operations Management Canada
including Operational Risk Management and the Corporate Quality Management. Prior to
joining Dynetek, Mr. Bartram managed his own company, acting as an Engineering
Consultant and a Lead Auditor (IRCA). Before this time he was the Managing Director,
German Transducer Operations, for one of the world's largest manufacturers of
discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components.
